If your a Detroit collector, then this WAS the mag for you! Full of super duper Detroit label scans, pics, label discographies and lots of interesting stories about the soul singers of Detroit (of course) and all it's big soul artists back in the 60s. G.A certainly knew his stuff!
I only have the first 10 Detroit City Limits mags but I'm sure there were many more of these issues that came out.
ROD DEARLOVE'S - A COLLECTORS GUIDE TO DETROIT
I suppose this was a bit of a rare soul bible at the time and it sure made me open my eyes to some of the 'other' great soul sounds that you could look out for. It probably turned me onto Detroit 45s as well as the rest of you! Some brill label discographies and even the label scans were quite rare back then.
